“Is there anything happening on campus tonight? Or should we just go to Chi Di?” is a group chat question asked by any number of Georgetown students on the weekend. We are often disappointed by the lack of socializing our beloved campus offers, and the few parties that manage to sneak by SNAPS are often no more than overcrowded apartments, filled to the brim with freshmen and throwback jams. That doesn’t mean we don’t have a good time though, am I right? Not knowing what the night will entail offers us Hoya gals the opportunity to dress for the party we want to have, not the party we will probably get.

Here are the outfit personas you’re likely to run into while ~socializing~. Feel free to channel these lovely ladies anytime you’re in need of some serious inspo!

The Hannah

She dresses up solely for the fun of it. Embellishments and details are crucial components of her outfits, and she lives for pieces that make you do a double-take. You’ll see her out on the dancefloor, shouting along to Blink-182 with the best of them. She also preaches the commandment every new student is told at the beginning of the year: choose one pair of black booties and sacrifice them to the weekend.

The Cassidy

She’s been lovingly dubbed Sassy Cassy by her friends. This girl is here to make an impression, and she lets her jaw-dropping necklines and peek-a-boo’s of skin do the work for her. She offers further proof that one pair of black booties will get you where you’re going, especially if it’s off campus. You’ll be able to spot her at Sax, snapping an Insta in an oversized gold chair. She expertly saves some of her more daring looks (and sparkles) for the club, where they’ll be better appreciated by the bouncers and bourgeoisie alike.

The Callie

Everyone knows that someone who is just effortlessly cool, and this is she. Black on black is her go-to, and why shouldn’t it be? The combo can transition from Henle to AdMo with just a change of shoes, but you’ll most likely find her ubering to the hottest popup bar or disco. To add dimension to your “goth fam” look try different textures and mix it up with some vegan leather.

The Nora

She’s your girl-next-door Georgetown hottie, working the Brandy tube tops and skirts like it’s nobody’s business. You’ll find her on any elevated surface singing to the crowd and Snapchat cameras below; by the end of the night she’s everyone’s bff. Her look thrives on campus, as it provides optimal ventilation during humid Vil A gatherings. To spice up this go-to outfit, add some statement earrings that highlight your exposed collar bone.

The Katherine

Take some notes from this classy lady. Just a pop of color with some silhouettes that never go out of style and you’ll be an icon for the rest of the night. She lives by the motto “less is more” and doesn’t over-think her outfits. Catch her at Opera Thursdays, living it up the international way.

So whether you’re out on the town or playing beer pong in Henle, wear whatever will make you feel like the bad*ass b*tch you are.

LILY MARTIN is a sophomore in the College currently studying English and Journalism. Her favorite forms of procrastination include restaurant hopping to find decent sweet tea, people watching on Lau 2, and binging old SNL videos.
